BTW…that’s supposed to say “Butterflies”.

Here’s a quick preview from today’s shoot. Location to be named later along with more of the kitchen, food, and setting to tie up this fabulous lifestyle (and some not-so-lifestyle) food shoot!

I had 7 shots in the “preview” folder. Not kidding. You’re going to LOVE this session! Coming soon of course:)

This session started with a vision. Danielle loves (understatement) Marilyn Monroe and the concept was some Marilyn inspired bridal. We were working fast because we weren’t sure how long we’d be able to have the hotel room for but both Danielle and I were thrilled at the result. The reason for the shoot: Danielle and her husband Brandon’s 1 year wedding anniversary and she wanted to present him with these beautiful portraits in an album. She looked stunning (just like every other time I’ve shot her) and the lighting was perfect in the glamorous suite with floor to ceiling windows. We had so much fun kicking the shoot off in her wedding gown and shot a light-white look on the bed and later moved to the look in the antique tone, inspired by some photos Danielle found of Marilyn. We wanted to make the shoot our own and it was just that.
Here is a very small sampling from the bridal session…

Loved this series of Marilyn inspired shots…

Shot below was taken by Lynsey Bock…

Shot on the right was taken by Lynsey…

The next two were my favorites…

The boudoir shots came out absolutely stunning (not shown). I had my off-the-camera eyes, Lynsey, helping to keep a close watch on the look and positions to keep this small series tasteful and flattering. She styled and assisted keeping us moving and lookin fab. Thanks Lyns!
We had a great time together producing some great work …and learned that food and drinks are a must-have on these shoots from now on!
If you’re interested in a session prior to your wedding , just after, or for a wedding anniversary give me a call! This was such a beautiful gift to give and I was thrilled to work with Danielle to bring her vision to life.
Still in Chicago enjoying this yucky weather : / Since I’m not out walkin the town in the rain…all I could think about was going through all the photos! Here are a couple pics of the gorgeous couple I spent the evening with for their engagement session!

My favorite part of this shoot tonight was a quiet mother-daughter session we had within the family session. Incredible light. Gorgeous weather. And some beautiful moments captures. {sigh…}

Any shoot that starts with Jeni’s Icecream is a good shoot:)

Previews from today’s shoots. Both very different from each other. Great personalities and so much fun~
The Madden Family at Highbanks…

The Lovett’s at-home shoot in Washington Courthouse (great shot of mom and dad…the kids are SUPER cute of course!) …
