And last night (before we got rained out) I spent the evening with them.

Matt and I have never had the chance to tell most of our extended fam and out of town friends that our lives have shifted a bit. We were so focused on getting the business going and keeping the momentum that was already there and haven’t stopped since. Well, word got around and we thought it would be nice to send a special goodie in the letter just to say thanks for all the love and support

Baby Emery yawning toward the end of her action-packed session. Besides peeing on the bed during her nakey pics, the session was perfect. Actually, the peeing on the bed incident was kinda cute too.

First I wanted to apologize for the delay in getting everyone’s full blog posts up! I know you’re so excited to see them and I’m coming along!
Let me just say it has been BUSY which makes me so happy! My last day working full-time was July 24 and since then I have had over 70 shoots and met over 40 new families! So there’s the reason for a little delay…and I’m also still getting my routine down with this being my first Christmas season in business. It’s a CRAZY time of year! I knew that working in advertising on a retail client (and I thought those hours were wild), but it’s another thing running a business and finding yourself cramming as many meetings, edits, posts, calls and shoots as humanly possible into Nov. and Dec!
You’ve been patient and SO supportive since starting the business. Thanks.

Lindsay contacted me a while back about gifting a family photo session to her mother-in-law for her 60th birthday. Great idea! And her MIL was so excited, even better! This beautiful family (really…I said it in the last post – there must be auditions to get in or something) arrived looking amazing but I was immediately distracted by these three adorable babies. So clearly the babies were going to be the focus. We tried to make it Claudia but no one can resist a baby. CUTE babies.
And my other fave: the open-mouth kiss from baby Calvin.ha

And little Henry there…he jumped into every picture he could. I’m just not showing all of them. But for real, so many.

I used to work with Lindsay at SBC Advertising. That’s where the photo connection came from. She and Steve can probably still be considered “newly weds”. I think it was within the last year and a half…that counts…right?
The reason we were all together…Claudia’s 60th. 60TH!?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I have been so excited to get this out. Both the images and the news (I wasn’t allowed to say anything because my friend was his cousin and I could have killed the surprise!)
But now the proposal is done. She said yes and a short story of the day is here for you…
The proposal took place at Alms Park in Cincinnati
Trying to be stealth with my zoom. They turned around every few minutes because I think she noticed me. So I would then turn the other way and pretend to take pictures of trees. Lame-o. But it worked.
So they walked around. Then landed at the spot where he would propose. And the best part – the number of distractions. It was ridiculous. I fended of an engagement session (they were actually done so it was ok!), 3 dog walkers and a group of cute older folks coming from a council meeting. One guy from that group was in a barbershop quartet and said he’d sing for them. Adorable 
Never happened.
The part on his knee happened so fast! I scrambled around the corner and managed to catch it at just the right time!
But look how happy she was right after. A little tear, a lot of laughter, and HUGE smiles from both of them:)
Most of you saw the ring in the preview. But did you really LOOK!? Great job, Ryan
And then came the engagement shoot. I LOVED this idea. It wasn’t really the plan. The plan was for a couple quick pics like the ones above. But they were glowing and we had GORGEOUS light. Too perfect. They looked amazing too. So the official engagement shoot happened on the fly. These are just a couple of MAAAAAANY photos taken!
(I want eyelashes like that ——————————————-V )
And the best part – they just booked me for their wedding next year:) I’m SO thrilled to be spending another happy day with these two!

Gift cards come in tall envelopes with the purchase noted on the front in brackets. The back can be used to write your own personal message. If you’re purchasing a gift card for a family member or friend that is a current client a great choice would be print credit on their past sessions. For family and friends that have not had a session with me before, session credit or a full family session purchase is perfect! Family sessions are currently priced at $150 plus tax. Please call or email for package details!
**Note** Family session gift cards are good thru July 2010, after which price changes will apply and will be an additional charge to total the new session cost. Session credit and print credit are good for 6 months from the purchase date (noted on the gift card at time of purchase).
