Summer Internships Available!

We are excited to announce that we have two new summer internship positions available and we will be interviewing for them this month! We’ll be announcing our new interns at the end of April.
Photography Intern/Assistant
This intern will learn and assist with all the steps of the photography process, from shooting to post processing. Student will be encouraged to attend 5 portrait sessions a month for a greater opportunity to learn and practice behind the camera along side me as I shoot. This person will also be invited to attend all weddings to assist with gear for myself and our associate photographer, Amber.
Day-to-day tasks and requirements include:
- basic editing and culling
- organizing and delivering files to our lead studio editor
- slideshow and photo gallery development (working w/ my current programs…you will be trained)
- photographer’s assistant at weddings and portrait sessions w/ opportunity to 2nd shoot at 5 portrait sessions each month for practice. (you get to keep the images you shoot)
- assist with commercial shoots and lighting assistance
- work closely with studio editor/associate photographer on day-to-day tasks
This person will need to be available 10 hours a week. Be proficient in photoshop. Video and slideshow editing program knowledge would be a plus, but not required.
Marketing/Management Intern
The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, efficient and posses great time management skills. This person will be involved in all client and commercial work, marketing ventures, creative concepts and event planning.
Day-to-day tasks and requirements include:
- assist with meeting and shoot preparation
- participate in production meetings and provide team with updated status reports
- present weekly analytic reports (training provided)
- assist with planning and executing studio events and marketing
- manage the production of one new studio sample during course of internship
- work closely with studio manager on day-to-day tasks/management of the business
Both students are responsible for arranging school credit. Students must be able to work from the studio during their scheduled hours, from June 6 thru Sept 2.
Ideal schedule: 2-4 hours a day (between 9-5), M-F (Photography intern has the optional choice to attend 5 portrait sessions each month)

These positions are currently unpaid, only payment is photography assistant work on our summer weddings. Weekend photo assistant work will be paid for weddings only.
