Lottie Da Summer Dresses

Amy has done it again. She’s come out with the most colorful, creative, textured and fun dresses in town! (And I’d say some of the BEST on Etsy!)

You may even see some of these changed up for fall:) I had the pleasure to shoot with a bunch of cuties again while they played in the new styles. They were A-DORABLE.

Sometimes I’m a bad blogger :/

It has been a month….A MONTH since you last heard from me on here. I’m sorry. Really, I am. I mean to keep up – keep you posted on happenings and photoshoots. And I know you understand why I’ve been quiet but I still feel bad that I haven’t been sharing the progress with you. So here are some FAVORITE photo moments over the last 15-some days…

April kicked off with a chunk of commercial work. A loud and giggly, high-pitched-voice-chattery (that voice you use when you’re around kids and puppies), binkie dropping, cuddly, cheek-pinching, spit-up clean-up happening, ULTRA ADORABLE 4-day photoshoot with 37 kiddos…all under the age of 2. A blast. More details on that to come! Kara, our studio stylist, worked so so SO hard outfitting every child and pinning as they were running away from her. It was a fun challenge:)

Then, came a photoshoot in late April filled with goodies. Cupcakes. I wanted all of them.

Then wedding season hit.

May 1 – Robyn and Rob’s simple family-filled hometown wedding. Fave pic of him carrying her across the cobblestone driveway.

_MG_2387 May 8 – Maribeth and Taylor’s loud, fun, energetic (and HUGE) Dayton wedding! Record was set for me – 22 in the wedding party.

TO FINISH OUT MAY WEDDINGS: May 22 in Cincinnati for Mary Ann and Scott’s wedding, then headed down to Charleston SC 4 days later for Kurt and Nina’s seaside destination wedding!

Amidst all of this excitement, renovations are still being made to the studio. A designer has joined the team to help us create a fun and inspiring space to meet with all of you! We also have learned that Leanna’s (hair stylist) mom can do ANYTHING> I mean anything you ask her if she can do, the answer is always yes. It’s amazing. You’ll meet her at grand opening too:)

Lottie Da Baby Quick Shots

While shooting Charlotte’s lifestyle session at the store, I snagged some shots of my new favorite gifting spot! This place will make you drool. Drool over patterns and textures and colors and craft – momma or not. You’ll be wishing you had a reason to buy. That’s me every time I walk in the door:) Amy is the mastermind behind this fabulous creativity and style and has partnered with some incredible folks to bring her concepts to life. This barely touches the spread of items she offers in-store, but I thought I’d share what I have!

Charlotte’s Lifestyle Session (1 of 2)

I can promise 99.9% of this session was just following this chick-a-dee around. The child has a mind of her own. She’s so happy and playful. Full of energy. Very curious. All of these things made for a fantastic lifestyle shoot at her mommy Amy’s store in Clintonville, Lottie Da. I met Amy a few weeks ago as we were talking about some fun plans for portraits in store, photos for the website that will be coming soon, and some other misc. projects we’re working on. She mentioned having a little cutie at home (every mom says that of course;) but oh my goodness….the eyes. The hair. The personality. My camera could get enough of her! Part two of this post will show the remainder of the session – some product and of course more of Miss Charlotte To learn more about my lifestyle sessions, see the info on my About page. This playful, and natural setting was the perfect comfort for Charlotte to really shine. You child will probably do the same in your own home or at a local play place you frequent. Local Columbus Artist – Lifestyle shoot (2)

I want to introduce you to Tarah Gaa [tg]. This is a woman of many talents. She has an eye for design – bringing a decade of experience in advertising and multimedia and puts every ounce of passion into her work. Tarah paints abstract art containing a lot of texture, lots of color and mixed emotion. Work meant to make people feel or see something. After spending an afternoon with Tarah and her gorgeous art, I totally get it. Painting has been a life-long passion for her. Tarah started by painting work for the walls in her apartment. The work grew and the space ran out. Friends began to notice. Art shows began happening. Paintings began selling. ”It’s an incredible feeling to have my art in someone else’s home. I like causing a reaction and evoking a feeling.” Tarah wants to give people the opportunity to draw from her work and take from it what they see. She’s an amazing talent and wonderful person. As we were wrapping up the shoot, I heard a train. Could not have been more excited. Tarah was a total sport and played model (clearly not difficult for her) for the next 10 minutes. Seriously though…she can work the camera. The next four shots were within the 10 minute train session!
