Last month I shared details about the promo The City Dog + Lauryn Byrdy Photography were running together. We filled all 6 slots for the Sept. 21 shoot and have already booked a second to cover the spillover! How fun – i get to spend another morning with some pups:) These dogs has such different personalities. One poor little guy was scared to death of the lighting. It took a lot of treats to convince him he would survive it. But all-in-all, a great time. And of course hanging out for a few hours with Jennifer’s crew is always a blast! Great staff over there.

You may remember me introducing Russell last month. The cute playful little terrier? July’s shoot at Wheeler Park in Columbus was awesome (if you don’t mind 10 dogs checkin you out head to toe the second to hit the ground for a shot). It was a great location where he was totally in his element. The only trouble…all the other dogs wanted to play…constantly.
Russ and his orange ball are inseparable, which is totally cool when you’re looking for a nice little splash of color!
Last month was the grand opening event for The City Dog – “Doggie Daycare for the Urban Canine”. If you know how much I love dogs (a ton), you can guess how VERY excited I was to spend a few hours there shooting some adorably playful pups, as well as snagging some staff, interior and exterior shots. Jen (running the show over there) is incredibly passionate about these animals and has really worked hard to build up a clean and modern daycare environment for your furry friends. The staff is super friendly. The merchandise, extra cute. Love it all.

On Saturday we had a pup party for Murphy and Rosco’s birthday. Our friends come with their dogs to spend the afternoon with us at Wheeler Park in Columbus. Some friendly pet owners allowed me to snap a few pics of their little guys, too.
Then, of course, we take our pic together in the part of the park with no pretty grass.
